Audience – Who you write to

Audience analysis has been an important part of writing throughout semester. We need to learn who our audiences are in order to better present our projects.

Audience analysis sheets will give us a guideline of learning our audiences throughout semester. We need to do research on what’s our audiences’ experiences, positions, stance, in order to develop better rhetorical skills to convey the readers.

We need to know reader’s name. It would be bad to not be able to know the readers’ names especially for funding or permission purposes. We also need to know reader’s job, education background and their working scope. Knowing the reader’s culture characteristics and attitudes will also help better develop the writings.

Here is an example of our first project. We address our elevator issue to the ccny president.
